Pak choi two ways

  • 4 pak choi, cut lengthways

Method

Two ways to cook pak choi: 

Steamed pak choi 

Ingredients:

4 pak choi, cut lengthways.

Soy sauce or olive oil to drizzle. 

Seasoning as required. 

Cut the pak choi lengthways and steam for 3 minutes. Drizzle with soya sauce or olive oil. 

Pan-cooked pak choi 

Ingredients: 4 pak choi, chopped lengthways

2 shallots or 4 spring onions, chopped. 

3 tablespoons of soya sauce

1 - 2 tablespoon olive oil. 

2 cloves of garlic

2 tablespoons of sesame seeds. 

Heat a frying pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the onions and garlic and cook until soft, using more oil if needed. Add the pak choi together with 3 tablespoons of soya sauce. Put the lid on the frying pan for 3 minutes. Add sesame seeds for the last minute of cooking, adding more soya sauce if needed. Season as required.
