Dark Chocolate Bark with Macadamia and Hazelnuts

Don’t like macadamia nuts? Try these alternatives:

-       Nuts: Almonds, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, cashews

-       Seeds: pumpkin seeds work really well!

-       Dried unsweetened coconut flakes

Preparation Time 10 minutes 

 Fridge Time: 2 hours

Ingredients

  200g dark chocolate (70% plus)

  30g macadamia (broken into pieces)

  30g Hazelnuts (broken into pieces)

Method

1.   Line a rimmed baking tray with parchment paper (at least 30 x20 cm).

2.   Place the chocolate in a large heat-proof bowl over a pot of gently simmering water. Cook until the chocolate is almost melted, stirring frequently. 

Leave to cool for 5 minutes.

3.   Pour onto the baking tray and spread evenly with a spatula (until approximately ¼ inch thick)

4.   Add the pieces of macadamia nuts and hazelnuts on the top and press them into the chocolate.

5.   Refrigerate for two hours.

6.   When hard, cut into pieces and enjoy!
