Ingredients
1 packet of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa solids) (100g)
3 heaped tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter
Method
Cut out a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of a small loaf tin.
Melt half the chocolate in a glass bowl over a saucepan of boiling water. Make sure the bowl isn’t touching the water. Stir all the time.
Pour into the base of the loaf tin on top of the parchment paper.
Put in the freezer for a couple of hours.
When frozen, take out of the freezer and cover the chocolate with the peanut butter.
Put in the freezer for a couple of hours.
Once frozen, take the tin out of the freezer and cover the peanut butter with the rest of the chocolate (melted in the same way as before).
Put back in the freezer for a couple of hours.
Once frozen, take the tin out of the freezer and leave to defrost for 5 minutes. Then break into pieces. They don’t have to look perfect but who wants to be perfect??? They will taste delicious! 😋
Janie’s Nutrition Notes
Dark chocolate and peanut butter provide flavour, unsaturated fats and some protein, but these bites are concentrated in energy. Cut them into small pieces and enjoy the portion that suits your goals.
