Hello from me!
Welcome to Janie Perry Nutrition!
It has been my long-held dream to help clients eat better, move better and feel better. So, it was an absolute joy to open my ‘virtual doors’ to my first Nutritional Therapy clients this summer. I am thrilled to be offering Nutritional Therapy to help you transform your life and feel the best version of yourself.
Here’s just a bit about me and how I work to introduce myself. I know how confusing the world of nutrition can be, so please get in touch if you have any questions. I’m here to help you make sense of your symptoms and how to feel better.
What is nutritional therapy?
Nutritional therapy applies nutrition and lifestyle approaches to help promote optimum health in individuals. As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), I will look at you as an individual, including your medical, personal and family history, as well as your diet and lifestyle, to identify any potential nutritional or biochemical imbalances.
The aim is for us to work together to reach your health goals through simple, practical changes.
My qualifications
I’m a registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, having graduated from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 2022. I’ve also been a qualified homeopath since 2004. I am fully registered with BANT (British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine), as well as the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths.
I love to learn so I’m about to start studying at the Centre for Integrative Sports Nutrition, qualifying with a Certificate in Integrative Sports Nutrition in early 2023.
My approach
Eat better. Feel better.
I don’t believe in fad-diets or restriction. I believe in eating nourishing, wholesome, delicious food that makes you feel better. Eating should be a joy and not be a stress in your life!
I promise to keep things simple and not add to your plate with complicated or demanding health plans full of scientific jargon. I want everyone to feel confident, energetic, joyful and positive about their health and wellbeing.
How I help clients
I offer three types of nutritional therapy packages, with a focus on weight management and exercise nutrition. All consultations are online unless otherwise arranged. I will help you chose which package is best for you depending on how much support you may need:
My standard £350 package comprising one 1-hour consultation followed by 3 x 30-minute sessions for an introduction to weight management or exercise nutrition (over approximately 4-12weeks)
My signature £600 package comprising one 1-hour consultation followed by 7 x 30-minute sessions (over approximately 8 weeks)
My VIP £800 package comprising one 1-hour consultation followed by 11 x 30-minute sessions (over approximately 12 weeks)
Both the signature and VIP packages come with daily access to me via Whatsapp for any support you may need.
During our discovery call, I will help you chose which package is best for you, depending on how much support you would like or need.
I also offer a 1:1 shopping consultation in your chosen supermarket, as well as cupboard cleanses in your own home to help you surround yourself (and your family) with the best foods for you to achieve your goals.
Each consultation is tailored to you and your specific health goals and lifestyle. I am non-judgmental and compassionate, and will meet you wherever you are in your health journey.
Homeopathy
I’ve been a huge believer in an holistic approach to health (i.e. looking at the whole body rather than just physical symptoms) all my adult life and have been a qualified homeopath since 2004. I’ve enjoyed lecturing at a homeopathic college and working collaboratively with osteopaths to help clients feel better. I now offer homeopathic consultations alongside Nutritional Therapy packages or separately.
About me
I live In rural Sussex with my husband, two miniature wire haired dachshunds (Dellie and Tiggy), chickens and ducks. We have three grown up children (Issy, Olly and Millie).
When I’m not working, I love to run and travel. I’ve been lucky enough to run 15 marathons in lots of exciting places including Paris, Berlin, New York, Chicago. Two of these have been since a hip replacement in 2021 after a diagnosis of congenital hip dysplasia.
My two favourite places to visit are Cornwall and Barbados. The North Cornish coast is somewhere I have spend at lot of time since a child. I feel totally at home there and love nothing better than spending a morning hunting for shells on a little-known beach outside Polzeath or taking the dogs for a cliff top walk.
I thoroughly enjoy eating a wide range of delicious foods. I’m often asked what my favourite food is and although that often changes, at the moment I adore nut butters: almond, peanut and cashew. I love Carley’s Raw Whole Almond Butter.
